2017 Colorado Syrah (Whitewater Hill Vineyard)
Planted with a view, this wine is further proof that Colorado is a fantastic region for growing Syrah. This wine hits all the marks with layered aromas of white pepper, game and fresh herbs. On the palate, it’s ripe and lush with black fruit flavors culminating in a spicy, long finish.
2018 Colorado Riesling (Horse Mountain Vineyard)
Ripe lychee fruit aromas lead you into the sweet, yet refreshing palate while the finish lingers with a citrus lemon note that is utterly delightful.
2018 Colorado Chardonnay (Bookcliff Vineyard)
This gorgeous Chard strikes a balance between the unique “orange” wine style we are known for, and the more traditional trappings of a new world Chardonnay. Full bodied with a touch of tannin, it’s an enticing wine full of baked apple, honey and orchard fruit flavors.
2018 Colorado Viognier (Talbott Vineyard)
Viognier is the perfect varietal to ferment as an “Orange Wine” because the extended skin contact only accentuates the full and rich body the grape is already known for. Structured and fruit forward, this Viognier has notes of honey, stone fruit and tropical flavors.
2018 Colorado Orange Muscat (Talbott Vineyard)
This is a very rich and powerful Orange Muscat that shows off plenty of intensity and structure. Yet, it remains playful in spirit with a touch of sweetness and mouthwatering fruit flavors. It’s delicious and great to pair with everything from spicy foods to dessert.
2018 American Sangiovese
This 2018 is surely one of our favorite vintages of Sangiovese in recent memory. Immensely expressive aromas with notes of fresh cream, red berry fruit and dark cherry. Layer after layer of ripe fruit please the palate, while a long smooth (creamy) finish gives balance to an otherwise fruit dominant wine. Though quite young, the use of new American Oak barrels has given this a sense of poise and balance rarely seen at this stage.
2018 Colorado Zinfandel (Black Vineyard)
The new vintage of Black Zinfandel is a great example of the elegant side of the varietal. There’s plenty of fruit, but it maintains a vibrant, exuberant freshness that’s often absent in large production examples. Further, it has a subtle tangy spice character that makes it an interesting choice for food pairing. Don’t worry though, it tastes great on it’s own too! This might be the most approachable, easy drinking Zin we’ve produced so far.
2018 American Grenache
While some Grenache can be quite rugged, this vintage embraces the more elegant side of the varietal. Light bodied, yet complex, this has expressive and refined notes of dark cherry, baking spice and rose petal. On the palate, the wine is graceful with gentle tannins and beautifully integrated acidity.
2017 American GSM Blend
A rustic blend of 37% Grenache, 24% Syrah, 39% Mourvedre that balances both “New” and “Old” World flavors. On the nose there’s an interesting contrast between notes of leather, cinnamon and fresh strawberry. It’s certainly a bold wine but the tannins are gentle and balanced.
2018 American Carignan
This forgotten grape is sourced from old vines in the historic Amador County of California. The older vines naturally create amazing concentration and purity of fruit. Even with ample ripeness, it’s still balanced, nuanced and extremely easy to drink.
2017 Colorado Tempranillo (Avant)
A new, high-toned and balanced wine we haven’t seen in a while! Aromatics are delicate, fresh tart cherry and hints of washed plum. The palate has more power with cherry and crushed raspberry. This new Tempranillo is in immense harmony, controlled by a very medium tannin and housed in a beautiful garnet color.
2017 Colorado Syrah (Avant Vineyard)
A wine of serious structure and depth, this new Syrah is everything we love about the varietal. It’s rich and full bodied with plenty of dark fruit character that makes it a perfect pairing for red meat. Though this wine spent time in a new barrel, there’s still plenty of herbal spice notes that seem to amplify as the wine gets air – a hint as to how this bottle may develop in the cellar.
2018 Colorado Malbec (Avant Vineyard)
This is not your average Malbec! The incredibly deep and mesmerizing color immediately pulls you into the glass, where intense flavors of cassis, blackberry and spice are generously unveiled. Powerful and distinguished, this is a serious wine that demands attention.
|2018 Colorado Little Feet Merlot (Talbott | Tagawa)|
Stomped by kids at Tagawa Gardens, this is a delicious and powerful Merlot. Ripe and expressive, the tannins are fully developed, allowing the bright red fruit character to shine through. This is a big wine, and stands in stark contrast to typical commercial merlots.
2018 Brother's Cabernet Sauvignon
Brother’s is back! An exceptional vintage of Brother’s Cab! As we’re introducing this new vintage, we have decided to offer it on sale through March for $28/bottle. This delicious Lodi grown Cabernet is full of classic flavors of red currant, plum and blackberry flavors. It also has plenty of spice with green peppercorn/ tomato leaf aromas. On the palate, it’s reserved yet balanced with a terrific acidity and tannin.
2016 Colorado Cabernet Sauvignon (Mendenhall)
Sourced from a small “old vine”, dry-farmed vineyard, this Cab has a powerful presence to say the least. Dark and brooding with flavors of elderberry and stewed fruit, the oak brings a round texture and smooth, lush mouthfeel.
2017 Colorado Cabernet Franc (Beach House Vineyard)
A bold, yet earthy expression of Cab Franc that demonstrates classic traits of the varietal. It’s easy drinking with a soft mouthfeel and approachable tannins. A touch of brambleberry character on the palate belies the herbal,
2018 Colorado Petit Verdot (CVS Vineyard)
Dark and sumptuous, this Petit Verdot has beautiful concentration and length. Violets, black cherry and subtle spice round out the aromas with a terrific finish.
2018 Colorado Petite Sirah (Talbott Vineyard)
Petite Sirah is one of our favorite grapes, and this is no exception. Full bodied, powerful and fruit forward like most—however, this vintage is unique with notes of black pepper, exotic Asian spice and a unique cigar box aroma. Not to be missed!
Colorado Cherry (Stranahan Barrel)
A very special cherry wine that is aged in a Stranahan whiskey barrel. This adds interesting whiskey flavors to this already delicious dessert wine. Almond, spice and strawberry aromas are followed by sweet hazelnut and cherry flavors, reminiscent of fresh Summer cherry pie.
2018 Late Harvest Zinfandel
A sweet and tangy red perfect after dinner, as sangria, or for those that need to please their sweet-tooth! Candied cherry and spiced raisin flavors tickle your tongue, while the sensations of jammy big Zin are still not forgotten in this Late Harvest. Cheers!
